X Files star Gillian Anderson is auctioning off her piles of memorabilia from the cult sci-fi show in order to raise money for charity.
The 39-year-old actress, who plays FBI agent Dana Scully in the hit franchise, has more than 500 rare and signed items that will be sold via website eBay.com's Giving Works charity division from July 17th.
It has been orchestrated to coincide with the release of the eagerly anticipated movie The X Files: I Want to Believe.
Anderson admitted recently that she was already having second thoughts about selling off certain beloved items.
She revealed: "There's an FBI file that I'm a bit hesitant to auction because it may be one of only two in existence - but I'm doing it anyway.
"And almost all the behind the scene photographs bring back extremely vivid memories. They're actually quite intimate... compared to all the posed photos out there."
